This report will compare two ads in a campaign and tell you if the ad that has a higher click-through rate has any statistical chance of continuing to perform better.
To generate this report you will need data from Google. Here are the steps for getting that data and running the report:
- Log into your Google AdWords account
- Click the "Reports" Tab
- Click the "Create A New Report" link
- Under "Report Type" select "Ad Performance"
- Under "Settings" select "Text Ad" (that's all this report supports right now)
- Select other settings as appropriate. This report supports multiple campaigns.
- Don't change "Advanced Settings"
- Name your report and run it.
Once the report has run, click the link to view it. You will notice an "Export Report" button in the upper right of the report. Export your report to XML and save to your hard drive.
In the file upload field (below) select the file from your hard drive and upload to the report.
